Meet Andy
With 40 plus years in healthcare I bring my tenured experience to my family practice setting. My interest in high quality alternative health allowed me to create and establish an aromatherapy program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, increasing the presence of acupuncture in our patient population, and educating staff on natural self care methods both with classes and articles on the hospital newsletter format. I have also taught on a national level at conferences on all of these topics.
Teaching on a community level to groups and medical professionals is an important aspect of what I do to aide in the collaboration of efforts to bring the utmost care to those we serve.
I am a member of my state Acupuncture Association, and have served on a board to advance the practice of acupuncture in nationwide hospitals for NCCAOM.
My education includes:
-
- Nursing Degree Diploma 1981
- Acu-Yoga teacher certification – 2000
- Capital University Bachelors degree Magna Cum Laude – 2006
- Nutrition Response Training- 2010
- AIAM Masters Acupuncture Summa Cum Laude 2013 internship in Beijing China
- Pediatric Acupuncture Certification- 2015
- Won University Doctorate degree in Acupuncture Summa Cum Laude 2023
